Paleo Chili
I found this paleo chili recipe a few months ago and really love it. I made a few alterations to it.
Ingredients:
- 1 lb grass fed ground beef
- 8 slices of bacon
- Red pepper, green pepper, yellow pepper, and orange pepper
- 16 oz tomato sause
- 16 oz fire roasted tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon cumin powder
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
- 3 tablespoon seasonall salt
- 1 tablespoon pepper
- 3 medium sized sweet potato
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 400, clean sweet potatoes and poke holes in them. Microwave sweet potatoes for 5 minutes then finish them in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Cook bacon in large pot on medium high until crispy while cooking ground beef in a pan. When bacon is crispy remove from pot and chop into small pieces. Add ground beef to large pot and continue cooking. Add bacon pieces to the pot.
- Add all the seasoning to the ground beef.
- Pour in tomato sauce and fire roasted tomatoes.
- Chop up peppers into small pieces and add to pot.
- Remove the skin from the sweet potatoes and dice into small cubes then add to pot.
- Continue to cook chili for an additional fifteen minutes on medium high with all ingredients and stir occasionally.
This recipe makes enough chili for 4 to 5 people. I have also tried it with 2 pounds of ground beef instead of one and I didn’t think it was as good.

Going to make this chili this weekend. I can’t wait!
Is there a slow cooker/crock pot method?
Actually cooking it in a crock post is preferable, I just never have the patience to wait several hours for my chili to be ready.
